Jason Adams
Educator / Composer / Curriculum Designer / Creative
More than just a music educator portfolio, J.A.M. is the creative home for all that I build as an educator, storyteller, conductor, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. Here, my classroom innovation can be documented and my choral and instrumental works are shared in their various states of creation. Anyone can view videos of my teaching or performances as an ensemble leader and a professional musician. Here, all of my immersive media outlets converge into one evolving ecosystem. Because of the teacher and performer I am, at its core, J.A.M. exists to assist me in elevating music education through imagination and student agency.
My return to higher education lead me to researching a vertically aligned K-12 music education curriculum based in songwriting skills in the general classrooms and to the creation of a narrative-driven curriculum through “Ollie’s Music World” based in Elementary classrooms. I found my self still composing works for choirs and teaching daily in private and classroom settings. Regardless of my current goal, my purpose became more and more clear: to empower musicians of all ages to create boldly and collaborate deeply. I want them all to discover their authentic voice. J.A.M. is part personal brand and equally a developing platform. My teaching, regular performance schedule, and my dedication to imagination nurtures this expanding ecosystem committed to shaping confident and creative musicians for generations to come.
My thanks to you in song is just one click away…
Welcome to J.A.M.

Big Bad’s Big Bad Day
A fracture fairy tail story written by Kathy Muller, Music and Lyrics by Jason Adams. This 45min, one-act, musical was premiered by the Iron Bridge Theater Co. for the Altoona PA, Mishler Theater’s children and family show season. Multiple school field trip performances and evening family shows were part of this run. Jason wrote lyrics, composed all of the music, and recored the backing tracks with assistance from other musicians. Then he directed music for the cast, choreographed, and played the lead role of The Big Bad Wolf for the show!
